People and machines building on the same platform

Build your own tools for your project data

Your projects hold the files, photos, equipment, mass haul and measured data your work runs on. Describe a tool that puts them to use the way you need it. You get an instruction file, and an AI assistant builds the tool from it. No programming needed.

  1. 1Describe the tool. What it should do with your project data, in your own words.
  2. 2Get the instruction file. It holds the rules, styles and Infrakit connections the tool needs.
  3. 3Let an AI assistant build it. Attach the file, write “Build this tool” and install the result in your browser.

What your tool can work with

Your tool uses the data in the Infrakit projects you can open, and turns it into the list, check, report or export you need.

Projects

All the projects you have access to, so one tool can look across them in one go.

Files and folders

Folder structures, file names, versions, sizes and dates. Files can be downloaded for the tool to read.

Changes over time

Which files in a project changed since a given moment, with their folders.

Equipment

A project’s equipment with its type, vendor and model, and which project it’s working on.

Log points

Measured points with their codes, coordinates and times, for checks and exports.

Photos

Photos in the project’s folders, with their locations, to view, sort or combine.

Mass haul

Truck trips, materials, amounts, distances and mass haul areas.

Map tile layers

The map tile layers added to a project, and new ones you add.

Start from an idea

Pick one to fill in the description, then change it to fit your work.

Make your tool

Describe the tool, choose what it may do, and your instruction file is ready. The more concrete your description, the fewer questions the AI assistant will ask.

1Describe it

Say which project data it uses, what it does with it and what you get at the end.

When you download or copy the instruction file, we save your description, tool name, language and choice in step 2, so we can see what kinds of tools people need. The saved entry doesn’t include your name or Infrakit account. Don’t include personal or confidential information. Privacy policy

Leave it empty and the AI assistant suggests one.
One language per tool. Make a separate file for each language.

2Decide what it may do

Can the tool change data in your projects? Changing means adding or moving things, for example uploading files, adding log points or moving equipment to another project. The instruction file never allows deleting anything.

3Get your instruction file

Choose what the tool may do in step 2 to see and download your instruction file.

Good to know

Your own sign-in and roles

The tool runs in your browser on the Infrakit page and uses your active sign-in and roles. It works only with the projects and data your account can access, so some features may not be available to everyone.

Read only unless you allow it

Unless you allow changes, the instruction file tells the AI assistant to build a tool that only reads your data. If you allow changes, it tells the AI assistant to make the tool show what it’s about to do and wait for your confirmation.

Basic safety rules included

The instruction file includes basic safety rules: keep your data inside Infrakit, handle your sign-in safely and report a security review with the finished tool. We can’t promise that an AI assistant follows these rules, and we can’t take responsibility for what it builds.

Test in beta first

Tools made this way aren’t Infrakit products and are provided as-is. Always test a tool that’s still in progress in the beta environment (beta.infrakit.com) first, and read what it does before you use it on live work.
